• 50% of their salary before the tournament’s commencement
• 25% during the tournament
• 25% upon its conclusion

However, recent reports have highlighted delays in these payments. Notably, several franchises have been slow in providing the mandatory bank guarantees, which are crucial to ensure timely player remuneration. 

This has raised concerns about the financial stability within the league. In response, BCB President Faruque Ahmed has engaged directly with franchise owners to address these issues, emphasizing the importance of fulfilling financial commitments to maintain the league’s integrity. 

The BPL has witnessed salary adjustments over recent seasons, reflecting the league’s evolving financial strategies. For instance, in the 2025 season, there have been reductions in certain salary categories:

• Category A: Reduced from BDT 8 million to BDT 6 million
• Category B: Decreased by BDT 1 million, now at BDT 4 million
• Category C: Adjusted from BDT 3 million to BDT 2.5 million

These changes aim to balance the league’s financial health while ensuring competitive player compensation.
